SSAA ACT is hosting the BRT Federal Cup 500m Fly Shoot

Incorporating the 3rd Fly Nationals Saturday 8 March 2014

 

Venue: SSAA ACT Majura Shooting Complex, Jim McKinley Range

 

Schedule of Events:

Saturday Day 8 March 2014– 3rd Fly Nationals - Federal BRT Cup 500m Fly Shoot sponsored by BRT Shooters Supply

Saturday Night 8 March 2014 – 300m Bat Shoot

Sunday 9 March 2014 – 1000yds Benchrest @ Canberra Rifle Club

 

Fees

 

Federal BRT Cup: $50 for a single class or $90 for both classes

Includes: Optional Warmer target, 5 targets to score,

8 rds per target (3 on splash plate,  5 to score)
 
300m Bat Shoot: $15 Custom or Factory class, Min of 36 rds required.

1000yds Benchrest Match: $15 1 class, $20 for 2 using competitor marking

Includes 2 x 6 minute sighting periods, 2 x 10min record targets per class., 5 shots for light class per record target, 10 shots for heavy per record target, nominations to be made on the Saturday of the BRT Federal Cup

The Fly Shoot is run in accordance with the SSAA National Benchrest Rulebook

All nominations to be e-mailed to actflyshoot@hotmail.com  a decision will be made on 2 March regarding 1 or 2 classes on the basis of nominations received; competitors wishing to shoot two classes will be advised by e-mail on 3 March it is not expected that we will need to limit classes, but reserve the right to do so.

Please nominate what class or classes to be shot, if intending to share equipment and if you are a left handed shooter.

G'day all,
                 We have 82 spots used up in the Fed Cup so far with a week left for nominations.

A working Bee Monday night will replace a few things in preparation for the event and we should receive our extra 16 Bisalloy 500 splash plates this week or next weekend.

I am hoping to not have to restrict entries to one class, part of the working bee will be to extend the target line at 500m, we would like to run up to 25 benches, that should give us almost 96 spots depending upon how efficient we can be when we do the bench draw to avoid lefties rubbing shoulders with those on the correct side of the bench....(donning flame suit)

Bench draw will be a pig as only 9 entrants have made no share requests...
