Woo hoo, check out the 2021 match calendar on the home page of this site!!
So great to see matches are booked in with the various clubs for next year! It's time to get the rifles out of our safes, give 'em a clean and get motivated. Belly

Thanks Belly,
Can anyone provide information on how to lodge/register entry to these matches? I'm sure the info is to be found somewhere, but seemingly nothing on SSAA sites or Flyshooter site concerning the hows and whens. Apologies if the answer is 'common knowledge' - I can't seem to crack the code. Hi John.
A couple of weeks out from a shoot the shoot organiser will normally post to this forum with information and calling for nominations. Preferred method of nomination is normally via email. Just keep an eye out on here as shoots get closer. |

Thanks Fred - I hate to not have certainty of participation until two weeks before each match. In that manner, do shooters risk missing out due to full compliment of shooters?
Sorry to carry on - this is very unusual from my usual means of planning ahead. Can't seem to get answers from SSAA Flyshooter contact email, or anyone else associated with the matches. John Weigel |

John. I have never know anyone to miss out. Limited to classes or sharing benches, yes, but never totally missing out.
As long as you keep an eye out on this page and submit nomitation when they are asked for you will be ok. |

Hi John,
You should have no problems with nominations for any match in the calendar, Canberra will certainly have plenty of spots at the Federal Cup in March, we usually get around 60 individuals to that match and with those that choose to shoot two classes, we usually have around 4 details of 20 shooters, we can accommodate 4 details of up to 25 if we really need to. We open nominations a few weeks ahead of each match because taking nominations for months on end hasn’t really been necessary in the past, nobody usually misses out. We also try not to advertise the next match until the current one has either run, or is close to running to avoid taking the attention away from the “current” event. I’ve written to the webmaster for the SSAA website to get that email updated, the one that was listed is only really monitored when matches are coming up, and that is actually an “ACT” email address for our events, it should be an SSAA address. All the best, I hope to see you in Canberra in March. Cheers. Dave |
