Hi All,

See below full results from the weekends fly shoot at Little River (in both Excel formats.)

Nesika_Cup_2015_published_results.xls
Nesika_Cup_2015_published_results.xlsx

It was a great weekend and moving to the new range makes a world of difference to the atmosphere and running of the event.  Part of the challenge is the weather.....and it was crap !! Freezing cold, windy as hell and coming from every direction.

Having said that, this range it is probably the most spectacular and challenging 500m range in Australia, and now with it being separated from the general public it is well worth the trip !!  The shoot was very efficiently run, albeit with only a small crowd of 16 shooters.

Well done to Barry Tucker, the only shooter to get to 200 points !! winning light gun, with Nick Aagren and Michael Bell 2nd & third. Small Group went to Barry Tucker (1.720") and best target was Paul Deehan at 54.01

Heavy Gun was won by Tyson Trotter with 199 with Michael Bell & Nick Aagren 2md & third.  Paul Deehan took both Small Group (1.807") and best target 56.01.

I look forward to seeing a lot more shooters make the trip and experience the new range and events at Little River next year.

Cheers

Anthony

It was my first 500m fly shoot and i had a good time, i wont be my last.

The weather wasn't good but given what can happen at Little River it was far from the worst conditions i have seen.  The biggest thing that came out of the weekend for me is i have decided i need a heavy gun.

I'm a little late getting to this ( been away working in northern NSW ) but would like to add to Anthony's comments and congratulate Pete & the boys on their efforts regarding this shoot.
For those who have not been to Little River, it's a magnificent range & very, very challenging. I always look forward to   their matches each year ; sometimes I drive away satisfied but usually I'll drive off wondering what the bloody hell just happened!!!
This year we shot on an adjoining range away from the general public…..a brand new complex entirely to ourselves. In my opinion this was the single BEST  thing ever to happen to "fly' shooting at Little River….( well, ..the best thing in my time ).

To all those who might be "thinking" of heading to Melbourne for one or both of next years shoots…DO IT…it's well worth the effort!

Congrats to Barry who took out his 2nd match for the year & also to Tyson for his win in the Heavy gun.

I guess now's the time to congratulate our Shooters of the Year… Tyson Trotter with his Light gun, backing up from last year & Nick Aagren for his win in Heavy gun. Both shooters shot brilliantly all year & are deserved winners.

As I understand it a formal presentation will be made early in next years season.

All the best,
Belly.
