PRMSC 500m fly scores

pmansell
Hi all
I am a member of Perth Rifle Metallic Silhouette Club over in WA
we have been shooting 500M Fly for several years and have a dedicated following of members within our club,
Saturday the 9th April  we held our first registered match,
as the discipline is still evolving within the club this is the next step in gaining experience running these kind of official matches.
We usually shoot our matches on one target and patch them as we go,
Its usually a fairly laid back affair where everyone is still trying to find that magic load or tweaking there setup
5 of our guys attended the Nationals over in Canberra and had a fantastic time,
Hosting a Nationals over here in Perth is something  were working towards
I would like to post our scores for you to look at, and consider in the not to distant future 2018/2019 a trip to WA for the first 500m nationals hosted by PRMSC

Denis W 258.2
Jason R 252.5
Mick F 252.1
Gery D 249.6
Stuart P 236.1
Phil M 233.2
Jon H 223.3
JJ 168.3
Paul P 160

Kind Regards Phil Mansell

yeah turned out to be a great day for shooting
the weather report was for storms and wind at approx. 18km/h and more which I think scared most people away and there were a few on holidays or sick, hence not to many shooters for the club championship
but we got to range and their was a slight breeze and over cast
the 1st round was the windiest but it backed off on about the last shot which sent bullet off to the side on most people targets as we didn't pick it
but from then on it the wind was ever so slight and drizzling rain  with some big scores to be had
old Denis got highest score  with a 58
smallest group of 31mm or 1.2 inches and all because I was meant to be windy so left his 6br at home and brought the 308
Mick and Jason were shooting great with their 6BRs again and only separated by 0.4 points
Gerry is an F class shooter who comes down and shoots the fly when he can and really enjoys it
me I don't know what happened to my 3rd round but it opened up like a shot gun and I still don't know why it did it

but it was a great day and enjoyed by all and a big thanks to all the guys that put in huge effort at the last busy bee making/setting up the new frames and work over the whole range

It was a great morning, unfortunately the predicted bad weather may have kept more shooters from turning up.
Hats of to Phil, John and the PRMSC for getting our first registered Fly match happening, look forward to the next two planned for later this year and congrats to Dennis for a well deserved win and new club record of 258.2.

Cheers Jason
