Short Range Team

I would like to promote the idea of getting a team of fly shooters together to shoot Short Range Matches. How i see this working is NSW guys form a team to shoot NSW events, ACT Fly shooters for ACT events etc etc. when we get to a match we assist each other in getting gear sorted for matches, assist with flags etc etc.

I know it is an individual sport but so it the fly really, i think it would assist each other to share ideas on wind reading, bullets and loads equipment used etc etc. This information and skill set will then carry over to the fly and help shooters with their fly pursuits.

Anyway just a thought..............

The big winner is shooters in other states will still be maintaining their fly mates at other events which will make the trips that much more enjoyable.

Les
shooting well is more a mental control of your thoughts than just pulling the trigger........

I've got a couple boxes of Berger 80gn FB varmint bullets, keen to see how they shoot from an 8 twist 6BR barrel at 100 and 200m, from what I've heard they do well?? Using a BR with the 80gn flat based bullets is a good way to try out short range bench rest if you don't have the funds to set up a PPC, or buy a slower twist barrel for the BR. Food for thought.

Cheers Jason
