Wagga Fly Results

Hi Everyone,

Well another good weekend of competition was hosted by the Wagga Club - Well done to them !!

Here is the excel spreadsheet with results from the weekend
Wagga_3-13_Published_Results.xlsx

Saturday saw some spectacular results at the 300m event.... A summary is as follows
300M Fly
1st - Michael Bell with 295.09
2nd Les Fraser with 290.11
3rd Anthony Hall with 289.07
A noteable 4th Place went to Lee-Anne van Meurs with 2 consecutive groups well under 1" and a 4th place in very stiff competition - Well done.

Factory Class at 300m was won by Russel Lemaitre with 254.04, with Tim Pavey only one fly behind in 2nd and Leon Quirk just 3 points behind that on 251.04 for 3rd place, Les Fraser won the wooden spoon.

Sunday was a little different.... conditions were tough and with the splash plates very low to the terrain and no flags able to be placed on the last 200m of the range there certainly was some frustration...... A summary of the results are
500m Fly - Light Gun
1st - Anthony Hall - 238.03
2nd - Mike Bell - 231.02
3rd - Jason Trotter -Jason Trotter 222.01

500m Fly Heavy Gun
1st -Mike Bell 253.03
2nd -Barry Tucker 241.04
3rd - Tyson Trotter 239.03

I don't have the small group and junior information at the moment, but will place it up in the results along with the equipment list details as soon as I have them all.

Well done to all those that competed on the weekend.

Cheers

Hi Anthony,

Is the Factory Class at 300m that was shot in Wagga last week  the same rules as the Benchrest Hunter Class from the SSAA rule book?

Thanks

Hi Peter,

The factory class that is shot in Wagga is not an official SSAA discipline.  It is a local event with rules defined by the local club with the assistance of Pete VM.

It basically means that any out of the box factory rifle, excluding custom shop and target designated models (cooper, savage target, remmington or sako custom shop etc) ifsfine.  The only modifications that are allowed are to bedding and or trigger.  The trigger pull weight must be 1/2 a kg from memory and any barrel replacements must be with factory barrels that suit that model.  Scope power is limited to 25x.

If Pete has a copy of the rules available, I will post them on here for everyone.

Cheers

Anthony
