Wagga PRIZE shoot 27th July 2013

chappo (Greg Chapman)
G'day to all.

Whilst there has been much scuttlebutt around the benches here is the official information for the upcoming Wagga Wagga "CRACK AT THE CASH" prize shoot.

This shoot is designed to be something different from fly shoots but still using fly guns and gear.  We aim to make it a fun shoot but also every shooter is in with a chance to win some cash. Most of the entry fees will go back into cash prizes for 1st to 7th place in each class. If you finish outside the top 7 you are then elligible for a lucky door prize of $200 cash as well.

The shoot is limited to the first 48 paid entries. If we get 48 entries 1st prize in each class will be $600 cash.

See the flyer attached for more info.

We are trying something different here and no doubt there will be things we can improve upon so bear with us and feel free to offer some suggestions.
PS. For the 500m shooters we will be closing the middle bench so flags can be placed between 300m and 500m up the middle of the frames for this shoot.
cheers
Greg

Hi Chappo,

Great to see... love the idea of some other types of shoots for interest....

My first concern is with your course of fire..... not sure that 19 rounds in 10 minutes is what I would want to do to my fly rifle barrel..... That's a lot of heat and a long string of fire without a detail break to cool down....

Maybe as a suggestion if you want 15 round targets at 500m...... give people 2 lots of ten rounds (on the same target) to get 15 scored shots.... so they can use their sighters 3 first time and two second or whatever they want........ slot a round of the factory/varmint class  (300m) in between the 2 goes at the target.....

Cheers

Anthony
