Hi all,
At the December meeting of the Wagga SSAA the subject of fly calendar days was discussed at length. This has been an ongoing issue for the committee for some time. At present we appear to be the only club having our 500m registered match on the Sunday rather than the Saturday. This was the intention of the original blue heeler classic.
As we run a pretty mean target crew and scorer's we always finished in a respectable time for people to travel home.
However the committee considered a number of changes since the first blue heeler classic including;
1. Increased number of shooters
2. many entrants shooting both classes
3. requirement for a registered match to be run to full time frames, ie full 7 minutes and full 30 minute protest periods.
4. distance that some shooters are travelling to and from
5. Consistancy with other shoots.
It was decided by the committee that for ALL registerd fly matches at the Wagga SSAA range the 500m registered match will now be on a SATURDAY. This change is to take effect for all 2016 shoots.
The committee hopes this change will add some consistancy with other clubs as well as enable more shooters to travel to our fly matches.
Sundays will now be a 300m match custom and factory classes.
Please amend your calenders accordingly.
Thanks
Greg
