Hi Steve,

My interpretation of that rule would be that grip tape would be fine as long as it was not attached (ie stuck) to the bench.  If attached to the bags or spacers it would be part of the construciton of them and comply with the rules.

With respect to an experimental class, there is no room in the rules and not likley to ever be as these are specifically excluded, but at the discretion of the organisers, if there is space available at a fly shoot you could shoot whatever you like (ie run what ya brung) as long as you realised that your targets would not be part of the official results for the event.
