There are plenty of different systems and ideas out there.... but if you just want higher poles for the BRT flags.....  Barry Edgley makes the best and will make them however long you want....

If you want them tall enough to get to 500m at Canberra, Little River and to some point Batemans Bay, Wagga and Brisbane you will need to fabricate something to add to the edgley ones....

Aluminium camping store poles and electrical glands is a good place to start.  Have a look at Barry Tuckers, Mine and a few others at canberra this weekend.
