My Guess is that you need about about 2 poles that go to around 6m, one about 7-8 if you can get it and another 3 that will go 4-5 and a few shorter (less than 2m) ones & that will cover most ranges with the typical 6 flags over 500m.

Of course you can use as many more than that as you want.... but I find that number and length works.
