Hi All,

An excellent weekend of fly shooting at Batemans Bay has commenced the 2016 season.

There was a great roll up of shooters.  On Saturday for the 500m Match we ended up with 52 total entries (28 LG & 24 HG) from about 40 Individuals.  Sunday was 37 Entries (27 Custom and 10 Factory) from about 30 individuals.  Saturday was hot and humid, with Mirage and changeable breeze testing everyone.  We also enjoyed an evening out overlooking the water with a few drinks and a feed on Saturday night.
Full Results for all classes are here in both versions of excel.

A truly fantastic way to get the year underway for the fly fraternity, Saturday night was such a treat over looking the bay and a flight show from the thousands of Bats making the nightly hunt in search of food.

The relaxed atmosphere and the company was outstanding and as always Batemans Bay has kicked the year of with a bench marker well done.

cheers to all Les.

Excellent results to the winners and all who attended....

I'll echo Les's comments....great weekend for sure. I even got to have a swim and managed to leave my wallet in the glove box this time! (rather than the Pacific Ocean)

Congrats to big Paul Deehan...he had his 300 wsm singing like a bird. A great score in tricky conditions.

With regard to the fundraiser..different thread I know.....this section has been updated & all those who bought tickets with cash now have their numbers allocated and all monies are in the bank.

Please check the fundraiser  section as confirmation.

12 Tickets to go and so we expect to draw this raffle at the Canberra Nationals.

I meant also to mention how good it was to see John & Vince Vaina along with Peter Munday all the way from Brisbane...huge effort from those guys...I'll have to make some plans to see if I can't get up there for their shoot later in the year.

Additionally, there are a handful of pics taken on the weekend now posted in the photo section of this site....just click on any pic and follow your nose!

Belly great shots mate well done really captures the good weekend at the Bay. Fly shooting is one of, perhaps the only style of shooting that is done where everyone has a great time and help each other out. This is a great sport and one that we should all take really good care of..

Cheers to all
