Hey Les

Good to hear you can make it, 4 classes sound like when too much shooting is barely enough. Looks like I'd better bring the .223 T3 bunny gun running 40gn Amax's. I picked up a 500 box of those Hornady zombie bullets which have been going cheap.

Hi John,

Not sure about the rain coat !! …. Today yes, last month – not a drop……  In fact last week it was over 30 degrees every day !! Much more pleasant, cooler and a bit wet this week.

My guess is to expect typical Feb weather – Warm (Hot) and no rain...….. but who knows !!

Nominations are a bit light so far…. But I expect a few more in the next couple of weeks.

Saturday Entries so far (32)
21 Light Gun
11 Heavy Gun

Sunday 300m Entries so far (30)

19 Custom Class
11 Factory Class

Hi Fly Shooters,

With our shoot less than a week away, I have attached a draft of the bench draw (still subject to change if required) for Saturdays event.  Please check it out and let me know if you see any errors, or if you are shooting different classes or notice someone who should or should not be on there…… Sunday’s draw will be derived from Saturday’s, deleting those that won’t be there, dropping some of the double entries and adding the ones only shooting Sunday. So you probably won’t move far if at all for the 300m.

We are planning to go out to the Mariners Hotel again for dinner Saturday night, please let me know if you are interested in coming along so we can book for enough people.

We also have Gaye McIntyre who is an agent for Ear Mould Australia attending the range around lunch time to do Custom Ear Moulds for anyone interested.  Please see flyer attached.

Have had a great stream of nominations come in, we have 45 entries (29 LG 16 HG) at this stage for Saturday and 46 (28 Custom and 18 Factory) for Sunday…. So basically 3 full details both days !!

The gates will be open by 10.00am on Friday for setting up flags and or practice / sight in for either distance.

Gates will be open very early Saturday for flag and bench setup and the brief will be just before 9.00am with competition due to commence at 9.00am sharp both days.

There is plenty of room for camping (inside or outside), and the weather forecast looks good at this point. Canteen will be open all day Saturday and Sunday with great food and drinks as usual.

Look forward to seeing you all there on the weekend. If there is anything you need, feel free to email me at stateflyshoot@gmail.com , or you can call on 0418 406698 if you are away from email.

Kind regards

PS I sent this out by email to the competitors attending the event (If I have your email address)

PLEASE IGNORE THE PREVIOUS BENCH DRAW DRAFT..... I HAVE HAD MORE ENTRIES SINCE THAT WAS POSTED.

WE WILL RUN FOUR DETAILS ON SATURDAY..... UPADTED BENCH DRAW TO COME SOON.

That will suit some peoples share requests anyway.  It will still remain basically as drawn the first time, just minor moves either side to work to four details..... I will probably drop benches 1 and 16 to keep things tidy.

Cheers

Anthony
