Well ladies and Gentlemen a great time was had by all at Mudgee last weekend with a great show put on by Andy Prowse who basically did it all. I will leave the Winners and patches for Andy to post but i can tell you the most relaxing time i have had in years. please check the photo's out when i can get them to load properly.

Another fly range in the making i can assure you of that.

cheers and thanks again Andy....

Definitely a well set out 300mtr range & with the possibility of a 500mtr one it will be great to see some more numbers there.

Also a big thanks to Andy for the effort.

Cheers Ken

Mudgee14-16Results.xls

Shoot results - easy to see who made use of the flags  and put in a good score.

Thank you all for attending & getting Windamere Regional Shooting Complex recognised by Fly shooters.
I now have a starting point to work with & try and improve from.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Andy for a great weekend. Relaxed  and friendly atmosphere made for a very pleasant shoot.
Being new to "Fly" shooting, I don't think I could have a better introduction to the game.  Les, Tim, Glen and Ken were very accommodating to us "newbies", What a terrific bunch of fellows. Looking forward to the next time.

Apart from hitting a f@#king kangaroo on the way over and a minor weapon malfunction, the Mudgee weekend was a most relaxed and enjoyable weekend of shooting.
Thanks Andy and thanks to all who attended.
Cheers
Tim

A big thank you to all who attended. All I did was get a range ready & push the point of shootin' at WRSC.

The regular Fly shooters did the rest, instruction on setup, target labeling & changes, scoring (it is easier than I thought, will need some gauges though), worry wall or somthing similar & protest fees . Target change over, general advice & helping out with lunch cooking, etc. A good bunch of blokes - in no particular order
Tim, Les, Dan, Glen & Ken.

Note: Dan is "sort of" ex-silhouette & I'm also" sort of" ex CSD, we have both spent + many years shootin' our disciplines but did learn a lot over the weekend regarding the Fly.

Got a laptop to use for when we get more than 5 shooters, will sort out the MP3 player for timing calls, it'll save me from whatching the clock & I can go & get a 'cup of tea'

I hope to make it to a recognised Fly shoot next year (depends on my available $'s with work) & schedule at least one at WRSC for 200yd Rimfire & 300m Custom/Factory. Will need to see the Fly calendar first, so it does not clash with the regular established shoots.

Tim, regarding the "minor malfunction" I did say I have the cordless anglegrinder & a hammer , also carry the tool kit.
