Possibility of a 300m Bat Shoot after Pro-Cal Fly on the evening of 28 September

Dave Groves
Dear ladies and gentlemen,
Russell Le Maitre has been approached by some shooters who are interested in participating in a 300m Bat Shoot on Saturday night after the Fly, could I please get an expression of interest from those who would participate.

1 warmer target and 5 business targets, 5 shots per business target, no sighters, distance of 300m, you'll need a minimum of 30rds of ammunition.

There will be two classes offered, Factory and Custom, Bat patches will be awarded for hits on the Bat.

Factory/Varmint rifles will shoot on the regular Bat target, Custom will be shooting on the newly scaled 3/5ths size target.

Hoping to have the shoot kicked off by about 7pm and finished by approx. 10pm.

Cheers.

Hi Jacko & Matt,

Probably a good idea to shoot Dave Groves an email with your nomination including share requests and classes you wish to shoot.  Here is the info copied from his post for the shoot.  With the amount he has to organize, it is easy to miss posts on here..... emails are much easier to manage.

Nominations to actflyshoot@hotmail.com , by COB September 22 2013.  Please include if you wish to share benches or equipment and with whom. No pre payment required.

Contact: Dave Groves, (02) 6262 4520 or 0412 118 135

Cheers

Anthony

I would like to get to this Flyshoot and would also do the night time Bat shoot.
Is there a 1000yd BR shoot the next day?

As I said in a previous post, I,m interested in having a try but have some questions.
I mainly intend to shoot my 6BR or 6PPC, but was wondering about the factory rifle class. What are the rules for factory class?
I have a Rem 308 VS hunting rifle with a Tobler HV contour barrel (Same profile as original factory barrel), factory stock.  Is this rifle allowed in factory class?
Can I shoot both factory class and custom (with 2 different rifles?)

Re: Possibility of a 300m Bat Shoot after Pro-Cal Fly on the evening of 28 September

Dave Groves
G'day all,
We will be finalising the format of the Bat shoot tonight, it will be going ahead.

I will advertise the rules, at this stage it is likely that we will use the Batemans Bay rules for Factory, maybe with some modifications.

The Factory Class was scoring near-to-possible scores (294 - 296 area) on the 500m target dimensions so they have been adjusted to 3/5ths of the 500 scoring rings to make it harder, and the Bat has been on a diet....it is likely that Factory/Varmint class will shoot on the old target, but that is not settled yet.

More on this tomorrow.

Regards.

Dave.
