Hi All

A great weekend indeed, and what a performance the Batemans Bay club put on. 4 details and all said and done by 3pm, truely impressive. A thankyou to those who organised the shoot, the target crew and Anthony and Les for the RO.

Now to the shooting, what a stunning performance by Nick and Barry for their wins, to Pete on finishing 2nd in both classes and Tyson in his come back. It's fair to say the bar certainly has been raised over the last couple of years. Consistency is the key to winning for sure, and you can see this based on the 5 targets. 50 and above for all 5 is a huge effort and the skill involved in doing so is staggering.

We all know luck has its place as well, but we make that ourselves right. Again congratulations to all who competed, would not have been the same environment without you all.

Cheers

I want to thank the Batemans Bay club for putting on another great event. As we all know putting on a large event takes a lot of work by many people to make it a success and now Batemans Bay Fly is the first event we put on the calendar each each year.
Everyone from the RO's, the target crews, the scorers, the cooks and the kitchen staff did an excellent job which made the shoot a pleasure to attend so well done Anthony in pulling it all together and making it happen.
The weather was good and the shooting was even better so well done to all those who attended and congratulations to the winners.
For me the highlight was having so many juniors attend, for some it was there first Fly shoot or their first registered match but I think they all enjoyed it and hopefully will be back next near. Young Ryan Hall was one of those new shooters and managed to beat his dad - Great to see!

Again well done and thankyou,

It was a great weekend with some excellent shooting. The fly is much more than shooting everyone at these matches tries their best to score a great result but if you don't the mateship and new people you meet along the way make it all worth while.

The traditional dinner went off without a hitch and i am sure those who went really enjoyed the food and the friendly bantor that evolved throughout the night.

look forward to seeing you all at the next shoot.
cheers Les
shooting well is more a mental control of your thoughts than just pulling the trigger........

And for those who missed the irony..... Pete van Meurs, while I am sure he was happy that the majority of trophies went back to Victoria..... He was Bridesmaid all weekend... 2nd in LG, 2nd in HG & 2nd in 2 gun overall....

Cheers
